Golden State Business Bank opened its doors on December
1, 2003 in a 108 year old Shingle Victorian Home, known to
the local community as the Hanson/Rorhig Home. Located at 1060
W. Foothill Boulevard, Upland California, the Bank is situated
on the famous U.S. Route 66. The Bank is located midway between
the San Bernardino Freeway, Interstate 10, and the new Foothill
Freeway, State Route 210. The Bank is adjacent to the San
Gabriel Mountains and is situated just south of Mount Baldy,
which is accessed via Mountain Avenue, a major north-south
route three hundred yards west of the Bank’s location.
The Bank initially capitalized with $11,000,000, which was
accomplished in only six weeks, demonstrating the desire of
approximately 250 shareholders to be part of a community oriented
banking organization. Golden State Business Bank is a state chartered commercial lending institution specializing in
residential / commercial real estate construction and mini-perm
lending, and a full array of consumer loans. The Bank prides
itself on a very experienced and diversified Board of Directors
and Management team with an extensive lending background.
The Bank is also very technologically advanced offering the
latest and most modern products offered by Jack Henry &
Associates, one of the largest bank software providers in
the Country, to assure its clients receive the best possible
service.
Mission Statement
Golden State Business Bank will be a local, commercial bank,
owned primarily by local residents and business owners. The
Bank has been originated to promote the local economy
and to offer a wide range of banking services including those
specifically responsive to the unique financial needs and
opportunities of the small business community in the City
of Upland and a substantial portion of San Bernardino County,
most of Riverside County, as a well as parts of Los Angeles
and Orange Counties.
